Losing the Connection

We all go through times when it seems like we've lost our connection to God. No matter how hard you try or how badly you want it, you just can't seem to hear anything from Him at all. It's especially difficult when we really want and need some help about a decision we're facing.

All sorts of questions pop up: Is he mad at me? Did I do something wrong? What should I do to fix this? And on and on....

When it comes to stuff like this, I'm a firm believer in the K.I.S.S. principle. (You know...Keep It Simple, Stupid!)

So when this is happening to me, I've learned to stop and ask myself, "What's the last thing I know God told me to do?"

Once I'm clear about that, the next question is, "Have I completely finished what He told me to do?"

It's amazing how often we want God to give us new insight or direction, even though we're not done doing what He already told us!

How about you? Maybe the reason you haven't heard from the Lord lately is because you haven't fully obeyed the last thing He showed you to do.
