Losing the Connection, part 2

Another reason why we may not be hearing from God is also pretty simple: He doesn't usually repeat Himself.

Years ago I felt like God was leading me to take a certain job. In the beginning I really enjoyed working there, but after awhile it became boring and difficult. So I kept asking the Lord if I should think about looking for a new job. Well, no matter what I did it seemed like there was just no answer.

So after going through all the blame stuff I mentioned last time, it finally dawned on me: I wasn't hearing from Him because He had nothing new to say about that subject!

By not saying anything, He was effectively telling me to continue following His previous leading...which in this case was to take this particular job.

So now, when I don't hear anything new from Him about some situation, I know it means I should just continue doing the last thing He told me.
